Internet and Wifi

Internet and Wifi

The College’s Wifi allows you to use your own wireless devices, such as a laptop, tablet or mobile phone – which is known as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD).

Your College network login will allow you to connect to our free Wifi system via the “Green” network, which is available throughout the college.

Before you can use the internet on your own device, you will need to authenticate to the College network by opening a new window on your device’s internet browser, which will automatically open the college Wifi login page.

Internet access within the College is filtered and monitored, for your safety.

Please Note: You must have first activated your College network account by logging into a College computer at least once before you can use the wifi.

Computer Security Awareness

Is this something I really need to know about?

Put very simply: Yes! As a user of the College’s IT facilities you are part of a community made up of staff, students, visitors and external users who rely upon having the IT facilities available whenever required.

Although the College has many effective procedures to help protect the IT environment, it is vital that all members of staff contribute to this process. You are responsible and liable for the data you handle, not your line manager or the College
