Christmas Jumper Day
Christmas is just around the corner which only means one thing… Yes, it’s time to dust off last year’s Christmas jumper or if you haven’t already got one, hit those shops and buy one!
It’s the most wonderful time of year – fairy lights and baubles, snowmen and Christmas trees. Friday 14 December, we want to see it all – on a jumper!!
On Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, all over the country, thousands of people will be sporting their most wonderful woollies – all for a great cause.
Together, we can make Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day the biggest one day ever!
You’ll be surprised at how many of your colleagues, students, friends and family are looking for an excuse to flaunt their fabulous knits!
In return for wearing your Christmas jumper, we’re asking everyone to donate £2 to Save the Children.
You can make your donations in one of four ways:
- Go to https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/sunderland-college1
- Text TEAMSUNCOLL to 70050
- Text SUNC59 followed by the amount you want to donate (eg SUNC59 £2) to 70070
- Or visit the main reception at your campus
All donations will help to support people affected by crises, grant wishes to children fighting life-threatening conditions and fund nurses so those with cancer get the care that they need.
Every little helps. So come on, do your bit, and wear your Christmas knit!
Christmas Bake Sale
As well as Christmas Jumper Day, we would like staff to get their “bake on”. We would like you to bake either cakes, cookies, brownies, blondies or biscuits! Decorate them in the most Christmas-sy way possible to contribute towards the bake sale. Staff and students will be able to give a contribution towards a treat of their choice. With all money raised to be donated to Save the Children.
There will also be a variety of other games and activities for everyone to take part in.
We hope this day will be enjoyable for everyone involved and a great way to start winding down for that well-earned and deserved Christmas break!
