The Access to Higher Education team at Sunderland College have lead their students, staff and others from teams across the College in raising funds for Sunderland's Salvation Army this Christmas
Access students created quality crafty Christmas decorations that were sold at Washington campus. A Christmas display of cardboard buildings based on the idea of recycling and making use if discarded materials sparked a bidding war! Due to the time, effort and skill that staff and students put into making the buildings bids started to be made to buy these beautiful creations.
Donations were also sought for presents that would go to local families in need this Christmas. An impressive haul was collected and will be distributed to those who might otherwise not receive anything this year.
Sunderland College would like to sincerely thanks all those who contributed to this effort which has raised £570 for the local Sunderland Salvation Army and will help bring Yuletide cheer to many this Christmas.
