Healthy Living Week – 4-8 January 2016
Welcome to Healthy Living Week 2016!
Sunderland College is running the Healthy Living Week campaign (from the 4th to the 8th January 2016) to provide all staff and students with some simple ideas about how you could make small changes to your lifestyle which in turn may make a significant improvement to your health.
To help promote Healthy Living Week 2016, the College's Well-being Action Group have organised various themed days as follows:
- Mindful Monday
- Try it Tuesday
- Wealthier Wednesday
- Thirsty Thursday
- Fruity Fitness Friday
On Thursday 7th and Friday 8th January we have also organised a Healthy Living Fayre, in which there will be a number of stands available full of information on living healthier and ways in which to get fitter.
The fayre will be in held in the Conference Area at our Hylton Campus on Thursday 7 January from 12.30-2.30pm and in the Main Hall at our Bede Campus on Friday 8th January from 11.30-2.30pm.
All staff and students are invited to drop in!
There will also be some fantastic opportunities to win some prizes!
Throughout the whole of our healthy living week we will also be promoting healthy eating and the refectories will provide healthier options such as wraps and sandwiches with less or no mayonnaise on them. More salads and fruit and vegetables will be made available and the pizzas will be thinner and have less cheese on them.
